About Mizara
Mizara's insatiable passion for golf seems as though it will always be a big part of her life, as she will look to play collegiate golf whilst achieving her career dreams. The name Mizara comes from her background in a town called Mizar in Afghanistan. When she steps out onto any of the golf courses in Las Vegas, California, and Phoenix, Arizona. As a fierce competitor, Mizara conducts herself impeccably on the course, having represented herself and her high school on the US Kids Tour, Antigua Tour, Southwest PGA, PGA Junior League, Toyota Cup Q, SDJGA, JGAA, SCPGA, Future Champions Golf & AJGA local and regional tournaments. Having such a vibrancy for life, and especially golf, Mizara is an enthusiastic learner, always looking to glean as much information and knowledge about her beloved game as she can.
Currently driving the ball around 240-yards Mizara has a commendable touch around the green and a superb golfing talent that represents everything that is great about a game; steeped in history, tradition, and respect.
Mizara and her sister, Milan started a 501 -3 (c) charity named Club it Forward. Their goal set forth is to give the opportunity to all kids to play the greatest game ever played. They take gently used or new clubs and pass them along to other juniors; so that they too have the tools they need to succeed without having the expense of paying for clubs. “We want to make sure this game has a place for everyone to play.”
Off the course, Mizara has placed in the highest academics for her private school. She has maintained the highest honors for her GPA in her Junior school career (4.06) with 3 AP classes, and currently her Senior year she is taking 4 AP classes. She has been awarded top national ranking of scoring 5 in each AP class making her a AP Scholar with Distinction . She has been a winner of the Regional Center for Bright Kids (John Hopkins Program) overall for reading, comprehension, science & math. Mizara is fluent in Spanish. She was team captain for her school Robotics team and placed 1st for her division in 2018. Mizara also loves giving back to her community, she was the youngest intern for the Nevada Secretary of State 2018. Mizara has been inducted into National Charity League 2019 as well as Leadership Youth Council Member for Youth on Course (YOC). She also is inducted into the National Junior Honor Society in 2019 and The Knowledge Society (TKS) where she learns about emerging technologies (2019). Mizara was is very active in National Charity League since 2018 She has dedicated over 100’s of hours of community service achieving the All Around the World Award & Yellow Rose Award & The Prestigious Presidential Award for service in 2020- 2023. She was inducted into The National Honor Society and STEM Honors Society 2022.
Mizara passion is learning and sharing about her culture in Afghanistan and allowing others to see beyond the game and how golf can bring them together. She even hashtags #afghanigolfer to show her pride in diversity in the game. She hopes to be the first ever collegiate women’s golfer.
